Hey there!NEVER ever guess or predict TOPICS for SS as you will NEVER know what the Angmos will set for SS.Study at least 4 THEMES,5 if you kiasu =D.

Health Care(Britain & Singapore) + Understanding Governance(Principles of Governance,Controlling and Encouraging Population,Ageing Population &Traffic Flow)=1 Theme

Conflict in Multi-Ethnic Societies-Sri Lanka & Northern Ireland(Causes & Consequences) + Bonding Singapore(Challenges to a Multi-Ethnic society & Managing Ethnic diversity in Sg)=1 Theme

Managing International Relations(Causes of Conflict,Diplomacy,Deterrence,Iraq-Kuwait & Terrorism)=1 Theme

Sustaining Economic Development(Globalization & Singapore's strategies to ensure competitiveness)=1 Theme

Venice(Rise & Decline,Venice at its peak & lessons learnt)=1 Theme

Basically,my teacher told our class to choose between globalization & Venice.Majority picked Venice as it was the LAST chapter covered before our SS preliminary exam and 99% chose Venice question while i'm the only one who chose Understanding Governance(Traffic Flow+Population) as i didn't prepare well for Venice ha ha.I would choose Globalization perhaps as it's much more easier for me to understand and memorize for SEQ.Well,it's your preference to choose which theme you desire,All the best to you too!P.S our teacher also told our class that the first 3 Themes are compulsory for us =D

Well, pick the question that you CAN MAKE LINKS well

For theme 1, it had not come out and will not

Theme 2 governance will be a good pick (it had not come out for the past few years)

Theme 3 bonding (Please do not think lightly on this topic, but do not devulge too much time, sri lanka LTTE had been gone plus Northen Ireland is now relative stable, hence not too much problem, the KEY is bonding- which again had come out for the last year)

Theme 4 Terrorism had came out in last year topic, however, other topics are worth studying

Theme 5 Globalisation (May come out, however, last year and the past had came out !!!, but never take it lightly)

Theme 6 Venice (SUPER IMPT - but may utimately not come out)

Choose 3 themes, and you will be safe

Hello. So can I say that at least one question will be on book3? Because I intend to study only sec3 topics.

When I did Social Studies, I felt that Theme 2 (Goverance i.e. Healthcare) is much easier to study than Theme 3 (Bonding).

Unfortunately, the latter ended up coming out for my O' Levels, not the former.

Spotting might cost you more than you think. Take heed.
